Ukraine has increased the export revenues of agricultural products

The country increased its revenue from exports of agricultural and food products in countries of the European Union to 5.2 billion dollars.

Ukraine in January-November 2017 increased revenue from the export of agricultural and food products in countries of the European Union to 5.2 billion dollars, which is 38.2%, or 1.4 billion USD. more than in the same period of 2016. On Tuesday, January 9, reported the press service of the Ministry of agrarian policy and food.

“Foreign trade turnover between Ukraine and EU countries in January-November 2017 increased by 31.1%, or 1,715 billion., compared to the same period in 2016 and $ 7.2 billion.”, – stated in the message.

The press service noted that for all of 2016, Ukrainian agricultural export to EU countries amounted to $ 4.2 billion.

The biggest commodity groups that Ukraine exported to the EU during the accounting period were cereals (1 .4 billion dollars), sunflower oil (us $ 1.3 billion.) and oil seeds of oil crops (0.9 billion dollars).

Along with these traditional products export, Ukraine significantly increased the exports of products such as malt extract, preparations of flour, cereals (31.7 million dollars), bakery, pastry (15.4 million dollars), butter (12.4 million dollars), casein (11.9 million dollars), chocolate and other products containing cocoa (in $ 7.9 million.) etc.

It is also noted that the top 5 countries-buyers of Ukrainian agricultural products to EU for the period were the Netherlands with a share of 18.4%, Spain 14.4% and Poland – by 13.3%, Italy 11.8 per cent, Germany is 10.3%.

We will remind, earlier Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said that over the lifetime of a free trade zone with the European Union, the export of Ukrainian goods to European countries increased by 10%.
