In Russia proposed to define new conditions for the use of nuclear weapons

The Russian Federation Council recommended that the security Council of the Russian Federation to determine new conditions of Russia’s use of nuclear weapons. On the 21st of November, said the Agency “RIA Novosti”.

Members of the Federation Council is urged to clearly identify the factors for decision about response to the use of the enemy’s hypersonic weapons and other types of strategic nuclear weapons.

Also recommended to develop the project “National military strategy”.

March 1, 2018, during his address to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia has developed a new hypersonic weapon. According to him, aviation-rocket complex “not having world analogs”, called “the Dagger” and from 1 December 2017 has started “to bear experimental combat duty”.

Also, according to the head of the Kremlin, has already begun mass production of the new missile complex “Avangard” and testing of heavy Intercontinental ballistic missiles “Sarmat”, which will feature “a wide range of nuclear weapons”.

The Russian President spoke about the development of cruise missiles with nuclear power and “virtually unlimited range” which is so far untitled, but was checked at the site in late 2017.

During Putin’s speech showed a video with a trial missile launches and animations modelling the conditional defeat of the purposes.

In the White house and the Pentagon assured that he knew in advance about these developments and are fully prepared to protect from any threats. Press Secretary, U.S. Department of State Heather Nauert noted that Russia violates the Treaty on the elimination of intermediate-range and shorter-range 2014.

18 October, Putin said that the security of the modern world lies the nuclear potential, so in response to the construction of a missile defense system of the United States, Russia is improving its nuclear strike systems. He added that the concept of Russia’s use of nuclear weapons is not provided for a pre-emptive strike.
