The family of the deceased considered it a belated apology Ephraim

The family of Sergey Zakharov, who was killed in Moscow in a traffic accident with participation of the honoured artist of Russia Mikhail Yefremov, has not accepted an apology from the actor. About the Agency RBC said the family’s lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky.

“I got in touch with his brother Sergei Valery Zakharov and his wife after the release of the video of Michael Efremova. Family, of course, heard of the apology of Mr. Ephraim and considers them late. Members of the family intend to go to the end, achieving a fair verdict. So apologies to family and de facto have been taken,” he said.

According to the lawyer, brother of the deceased said that the family is not going to accept money from the actor.

56-year-old Efremov provoked a traffic accident in Central Moscow on the evening of 8 June on Smolensk square he was behind the wheel of a Jeep Grand Cherokee drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a van “Lada”. The van driver from the got injuries died later in the hospital.

Immediately after the accident in the Russian police said that, according to the examination, Efremov took the wheel in an alcohol intoxication. On 9 June, Russian media reported that the actor tests found traces of cocaine and cannabinoids. 10 June in the Moscow Prosecutor’s office confirmed that at the time of the accident Efremov was able to not only alcohol, but drugs.

Against the actor opened a criminal case under article about violation of traffic rules, entailed death of the person. In addition, the police filed a case of drug dealing. Ephraim threatens from five till 12 years of imprisonment.

On 9 June, the Tagansky district court of Moscow chose Yefremov the measure of restraint in the form of house arrest for two months.

June 12, Efremov recorded a video message in which he asked for forgiveness from the family of the deceased and assured that it will not attempt to avoid responsibility for an accident. He also said that he was ready to provide assistance to the family of the deceased, if it is accepted.
