In recent years, Subaru is often confronted with problems related to cars. At the end of 2018, she had to recall 400 000 vehicles due to faulty valve springs — corrections are clearly required a lot of time and effort. Also, she had to briefly halt production at its Japanese plants because of problems with the power steering. In March, the manufacturer caught up with another problem — in millions of cars failed due to the chemicals contained in perfumes and other cosmetics.

The problem was discovered in models of Impreza, Forester and Crosstrek, released between 2008 and 2017. It turned out that the chemical compounds from consumer products interfere with the illumination of stop lamps — the flow to electricity to the rear lights is significantly reduced, and they become useless. The problem with the signals could lead to another drawback: the car may simply not start.

Because of these effects, the manufacturer has treated the issue very seriously. He had to recall 2.3 million vehicles — the largest recall in the history of the company. Unfortunately, this trouble happened just at the time when she and so many problems because of the other detected faults . Most interesting is that the manufacturer not even knows how to protect the contact of the brake lights from the chemical compounds that are in the air almost constantly.

It is noteworthy that this is not the strangest cause of the recall of vehicles in history. In 2013, Toyota has recalled 870 000 cars due to the fact that spiders started to weave webs in the drain pipe of the air conditioner.
