The Verkhovna Rada has established a Temporary special Committee (FAC) for the protection of investors ‘ rights. For the corresponding draft of the resolution No. 2601 319 votes of deputies at a meeting on Friday, June 5.
According to the document, the FAC must prepare and submit to the Parliament legislative initiatives concerning the protection of the rights of investors and ensuring equal protection of rights, interests and property of subjects of investment activities irrespective of forms of ownership, and effective investment in the Ukrainian economy, development of international economic cooperation and integration.
The FAC will also identify the priorities for improving legislation on creation of conditions for investment activities to ensure the protection of the rights of investors (business) to exercise parliamentary cooperation with business associations and relevant institutions to facilitate the creation of smooth environment for attracting investment.
The composition of the Temporary special Commission included 13 MPs, eight of them from the Servants of the people. Its Chairman elected as Deputy Chairman of the faction of the servant of the people Halyna Yanchenko, her Deputy – the Deputy Chairman of the faction the Voice of Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
The duration of a Temporary special Committee – one year.
We will remind, in the first quarter of 2020 investments in the Ukrainian economy fell by 35%. The decline in investment was recorded in all sectors, with the exception of the sphere of Information and telecommunications, where the growth amounted to 8.7%.
Earlier, President Vladimir Zelensky promised that power will attract $ 7 billion investment over the next year and a half. According to him, in September will begin the work of the Investment office, centrally involved in attracting investment to Ukraine.
