In the Odessa region from complications from measles and died a child of five. On Thursday, January 11, said the Director of the health Department of Odessa Vyacheslav Polesny.

It is noted that the child died in the first days of January in Belgorod-Dniester district.

According to media reports, in Odessa region the measles outbreak has been observed since April of last year. The publication indicates that victims of infection in the area were already six people, including four children.

According to RSA, only 2017 in the Odessa region was 1 293 cases of illness, 843 of whom were children.

According to Poleznogo, in comparison with November, in December the incidence of measles in the region increased by 64%.

The official said that there is a risk of measles outbreaks within hospitals and other medical institutions.

So, from complications from the disease died a health worker in the admissions Department of the Odessa hospital.

Earlier we wrote that in Ukraine has three thousand patients with measles: there are deaths.

Meanwhile, today in Kyiv city children’s clinical infectious hospital there are 14 children suffering from measles.

We will remind, in the Zaporozhye region the number of people infected with measles, over a quarter of a thousands – of dangerous infection hospitalized 256 people.
