The decline of trade can be seen in the first quarter of the year

The volume of foreign trade of Ukraine in the first quarter fell to 25.6 billion dollars.

For the first quarter of 2020, imports to Ukraine fell by almost 20%, exports also declined, but less.This was reported in the Facebook trade representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka.

For three months the export made $ 12,25 billion dollars, imports of 13.32 billion dollars, a negative balance of 1.07 billion dollars.

“Compared to 4Q 2019 exports fell by 5.5% and imports by 19.2% (what a fantastic figure),” wrote the Pitching.

According to him, the reduction of negative balance of foreign trade is good news and bad reducing the volume of trade “is a direct disadvantage for the economy as a whole.”

In annual terms, exports declined by 0.1%, import – on 3,3%.

At the end of last year, Ukrainian exports exceeded $46 billion. For the year Ukraine increased its exports by 6.4%, but imports rose even more – by 7.1% and exceeded $ 60 billion.
