French investigators launched an investigation against Apple in fact slowing down older models of iPhones. About it reports Reuters, citing a source in legal circles.

According to sources, the case against Apple opened January 5 in connection with the statements of the users that the company intentionally slows down the performance of previous models.

To participate in the investigation unit of the Ministry of economy of France for the protection of the rights of consumers, the Agency said.

In December 2017, Apple admitted that they released the software that are slowing down the iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7 and iPhone SE for extending the work of their batteries.

After rising wave of indignation, the company apologized to users.
