Ukrainian swimmer surpassed the achievement of 2009.

Ukrainian swimmer Andrey Govorov broke the world record in the 50m butterfly event at the international tournament in Rome.

In the final of the Ukrainian overcame the distance in of 22.27 seconds. This is 0.16 seconds faster than the previous world record, which belonged to Spaniard Rafael muñoz, and held since 2009.

Andrey Govorov is the champion of Europe of 2016 and bronze medalist of the world championship 2017 in this race.
