On the background of the pandemic coronavirus Japanese startup Donut Robotics has developed a “smart mask”, which can connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth.

According to Reuters, the plastic c-mask fits over the usual protective mask.

With a special application for the smartphone or tablet the mask can transcribe human speech into text messages, make calls or to amplify the voice of the owner of the mask.
