Wizz Air geographical blunder happened: the managers confused the Ukrainian capital of Chisinau (Moldova), announced two new routes from Kiev.

Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air by mistake announced two new routes from Kiev to Brussels-Charleroi and Paris-Beauvais, confusing the Ukrainian capital of Chisinau (Moldova). About it reports a press-service of the Ukrainian representative office of the carrier.

Some time after the appearance of the joyful news to customers about new routes from Kiev it turned out that it is only geographical gaffe by its managers, since the flight actually will be from Moldova .

“The press service of Wizz Air gave the heat! The email address of all who subscribed the Hungarian airline, came wonderful at first glance, the letter called New routes from Kyiv! We are glad, and thought to write about it laudatory article, however, seeing the new routes cringed a bit, because among them was the familiar Copenhagen, Dortmund, Memmingen, and new Brussels and Paris (Beauvais). Checking the reservation system of the airline and remembering the morning news about new flights from Chisinau and Cluj, we came to the conclusion that someone at Wizz Air poorly taught geography. But who doesn’t?” with humor reacted to the embarrassment of the company.

Earlier it was reported that in 2018 the airline plans as a whole to open 100 new routes, 11 of them – from Ukraine. Recently Wizz Air has placed a third plane at its base in Kiev and started flights to Lisbon, Tallinn and Berlin, and from Kharkov to Katowice.
