Gas transit fell by 6%

At the end of last month the transit of gas through territory of Ukraine decreased by 3.7 billion cubic meters.

Ukraine in January-August of 2018, reduced the transit of natural gas through its gas transport system (GTS) 6% – 3,743 billion cubic meters compared with the same period of 2017 – up to 58 billion of 216.5 million cubic meters.

About it reports Interfax-Ukraine with reference to operational data of Ukrtransgaz on Monday, September 3.

So, gas transit through Ukraine to Europe during this period amounted to 56 billion 361,7 million cubic meters (-6,5% compared to January-August-2017), Moldova – 1 billion 854,8 million cubic metres (+12.2 per cent).

At the end of August-2018 transit of gas decreased by 17% (1 billion 490,7 million cubic meters) compared with the same month in 2017 – up to 7 billion 270,1 million cu. m. including gas transit through Ukraine to Europe amounted to 7 billion 107 .8 million cubic meters (-17,4% in August-2017), Moldova – 162,3 million cubic meters (+5%).

We will remind, in July 2018 year, Ukraine increased gas transit by 13% to 950 million cubic meters, compared with the same month of 2017.

The transit of liquefied gas through Ukraine in July fell by a quarter – up to 83.6 thousand tons.
