The StartUp Europe Awards prize is awarded annually, with the participation of the European Commission to draw attention to the best European projects in the field of small business

18 European start-UPS received a prize of the StartUp Europe Awards (or, as it is called, “contest for startups”).
For example, in the category “Tourism” was recognized as the best Portuguese startup Live Electric Tours. It offers travelers 5 routes in Lisbon that need to go on electric car-smart car (rental included in the tour price). Besides the rent of the electric vehicle and guide the project gives tourists the opportunity to share their experiences in real – time on the electric cameras with access to social networks.
Spanish startup Plactherm received the prize in the category “Energy” for the economical system of heating by means of “smart” floors. The system determines which part of the room requires heat, and heat is a warm floor – this helps to reduce energy consumption by 30%.
In the category “Climate” won startup Macedonian Macedonian honey, which helps restore the population of bees. He develops a system of measures (including reducing the use of pesticides in agriculture) and equipment for apiaries. Macedonian honey cooperates with local communities, also noted the jury.
And in the “Creative” category was the best Popertee Irish startup which helps brands find the most successful location for events, analyzing the needs of their target audience with the help of artificial intelligence.
Best city for startups in this year was Budapest – the award was received by the city Agency for enterprise development WEAH. And the best region became an Autonomous community of Galicia in Spain.
