The cigar, the Prime Minister of great Britain Winston Churchill has sold at auction for $12.3 thousand. This was reported on the website of the auction house RR Auction.

The starting price for the lot was $1000.

Churchill smoked this cigar in the Paris airport Le Bourget on 11 may 1947. The British government repaid a cigar when they came on Board. A 10-cm stub that says “La Corona / Winston Churchill” saved the crew member William Alan Turner.

Along with the butt sold a photograph of Churchill with the same cigar and the signature of the Prime Minister.
