Rozenko: We are not asking for anything supernatural

Kiev sent Warsaw a proposal to restore cooperation of Institutes of national memory of Ukraine and Poland. UNN was reported by 11 April, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko.
“I hope to intensify their cooperation the relevant ministries. We agreed and made the initiative to restore their cooperation for least Institutions of national memory in Poland and Ukraine. The initiative by the Ukrainian side has sent to Warsaw. Also we are talking about the ministries of culture, relevant interstate commissions that exist on this level,” he said.
According to the Vice Prime Minister, Ukraine is ready for a constructive and open cooperation with Poland.
“We are not asking for anything supernatural. We ask only to absolutely mirror the steps of the relationship to the memory of the victims in the difficult Polish-Ukrainian history. To the Polish side treated the Ukrainians that have been buried or died in the territory, which today is the Polish, as well as Ukraine refers to the graves of Polish citizens, Polish soldiers on the territory of Ukraine”, – said Rozenko.
In October 2016, the Polish Sejm and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the joint Declaration of memory and solidarity, which was to put an end to historical disputes. Despite this, the historical issue remains a source of tension between countries.
So, in the summer of 2017, the Ukrainian side has denied the Polish in the search and exhumation of buried on the territory of Ukraine of poles.
On 2 November the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski said Poland intends to start the procedure, which will not allow to enter the country Ukrainians demonstrating anti-Polish views. The Ukrainian foreign Ministry replied that the country has no anti-Polish sentiment.
