Michael Romanchuk

The Ukrainian won the gold at the Stockholm Open Swim.

Ukrainian swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk won gold in the tournament Stockholm Open Swim in the 800m freestyle.

He went for 7.42,49, ahead of Florian Wellbrook 0.54 seconds.

The result Romanchuk was not only a Championships record but also a new record of Ukraine – the previous one also belonged to Romanchuk. He had it installed at the European championship-2018 in Glasgow (7:42.96 minutes), and now stripped him of 0.47 seconds.

Another Ukrainian Sergiy Frolov finished 4th, losing Romanchuk 7,44 seconds.

Note that Romanchuk and Frolov has already implemented standards for participation in the Olympic games in Tokyo.

In February Romanchuk won gold in Belgium.
