An international group of scientists have discovered a new species of snails from the family cyclopoid. The researchers decided to name it in honor of the young Swedish ecoactivists Greta Thunberg – Craspedotropis gretathunbergae, writes Biodiversity Data Journal.

A new species of clam lives in Brunei. Snails are very sensitive to dry periods, high temperature indicators and forest degradation.

Because of this “climate mood” experts from Brunei, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Italy and France and decided to call snails in honor of Thunberg.

Earlier it was reported that Greta Thunberg has applied for its own trademark.
