News anchor Fox News Chris Wallace came to rest in Russia immediately after the interview with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, The New York Times reported July 22.

According to 70-year-old Wallace, he had some doubts about the trip to Russia, but he thought, “Why not?”

The broadcaster said that after the interview in Helsinki, the Russian President asked him how much time he wants to spend in each city of Russia. According to Wallace, Putin was glad to hear that in St. Petersburg he was going to stay for longer than in Moscow.

The publication stresses that Putin is a native of St. Petersburg.

Wallace interviewed Putin twice, in 2005 and in 2018. On 16 July he took the Russian President’s 34-minute interview on the Russian-American summit in the Finnish capital.
