Firm from Montana American Expedition Vehicles, specializing in accessories for SUVs and pickups, built a camper for the base Jeep Wrangler. The project was called Outpost II, but to buy such a machine is impossible – it was built in a single copy for the President of the company.
To get from “Wrangler” RV, “redrew” the car frame, reinforced suspension and increased ground clearance of 11.5 inches. The movement of the camper is a 5.7-liter eight-cylinder petrol engine HEMI.
The car is also equipped with electric awning, two kitchens (inside and outside the car), two bunks, a 50-liter refrigerator, oven, 83 litre water tank, led lighting, awning and 265-watt solar panel. In total for the construction of this motorhome specialists American Expedition Vehicles had to make more than 600 unique parts.
Previously, it was presented a few interesting projects of houses on wheels. Among them: a motorcycle with a residential module, camper Ford F-750 for $ 1.5 million, even equipped with heated floors and a car for travel, created the electric vehicle from Nissan.
On the eve of the Volkswagen company introduced the “two-story” house on wheels called the Grand California, which is built on the model Crafter. The novelty debuted at an exhibition of camper vans in Dusseldorf – the same place where a year earlier debuted a concept version of this car.
