A new type of coronavirus, which is still rapidly spreading throughout the world, not can be transmitted to humans from plants.


This belief expressed by Dr. Andrew Preston, reader of lectures on microbial pathogenesis at the University of Bath in England. His words are quoted by the Daily Mail.

“COVID-19 can’t infect plants, so he can’t “live” in them” – says the doctor.

The specialist said that perhaps once in the plant the virus can survive on its leaves and stems in a short period of time.

“On the street do not touch face and wash your hands when you come home,” said Dr. Preston.
