In the water system of Paris have found a coronavirus. It is reported by French radio station RFI.

The virus was discovered in the pipes through which flows non-potable water.

Paris officials said that water flows through a separate pipe system, which is not related to taps in homes. This water is used in fountains for watering and washing of streets.

In the mayoralty of the French capital stressed that the risk to drinking water is completely absent.

The presence of coronavirus in water revealed during routine tests in four of the 27 samples. Municipal service say that the amount “negligible”, however, the use of this water has stopped.
