The Bank claims damages in the amount of several hundred million dollars that he incurred as a result of various actions taken by his former owners.

PrivatBank has initiated proceedings in the court of the state of Delaware (USA) against the former co-owners Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov, and other physical and legal entities, the press service of the Bank.

According to the report, PrivatBank claims damages in the amount of several hundred million dollars that he incurred as a result of various actions taken by his former owners, their close Mordechai Korf, Haim Rosatom and Uriela by Leiber and various companies registered in the United States.

The basis for the claim in an American court is the number of schemes that have signs of fraud and which, according to PrivatBank, was organized by Kolomoisky and Bogolyubov, together with other defendants.

The aim of these schemes was “owning assets in the U.S. worth hundreds of millions of dollars by misappropriation and legalization of proceeds from corporate loans issued by PrivatBank in the period when it was controlled by its previous owners,” reads the message.

In PrivatBank I remind you that will apply and the courts of other countries to attract their former owners and associated persons responsible for the losses that were incurred by the Bank.

We will remind, on April 18, the District administrative court of Kyiv at the suit of Igor Kolomoisky declared the nationalization of PrivatBank illegal. The next hearing will take place on 4 June.
