The most optimistic forecasts in the extractive industry, the national Bank noted.

The expectations of managers of Ukrainian enterprises regarding business activity worsened again. This is evidenced by data of the National Bank, published yesterday.

So, in the fourth quarter of 2019 the index of business expectations (IDO) for the next 12 months fell to 112,0% (in I quarter to 119.7%, in II quarter – to 117.8% in the first quarter of III – reach 115.3%).

In this case the revival of business activity expected by the respondents of all economic activities, except agriculture respondents (94.4 per IDO). The most optimistic forecasts in the extractive industry (IDO 121,5).

“The main factor in the ratings business, which limits the ability to increase production, remain too high prices for raw materials and energy”, – stated in the message.

Another survey of the NBU was held h on 4 December 2019 up to 3 January 2020 among the leaders of 697 companies. The survey is representative of the main types and directions of activity, size of enterprise by number of employees.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine has dramatically risen in the ranking of Doing Business. The country was able to rise from seven points, and took the 64th place among 190 countries.
