Gates paid more than $10 billion in taxes

American billionaire and Microsoft founder bill gates thinks he should pay more taxes. He stated this in an interview with CNN.

According to him, wealthy Americans like him should pay “much higher taxes”.

At the same time, gates noted that paid more taxes than anyone else – over $10 billion.

Speaking of lowering the tax rate on corporate profits, gates said that from this point of view, tax reform is “not progressive, but regressive.”

The biggest beneficiary of the reforms, in his opinion, to the most wealthy citizens, while Republicans insist that tax cuts will support ordinary Americans.

Gates holds the second position in the list of the richest people in the world after the founder and head of the Amazon.com Jeff Bezos.
