Trump holds emergency talks with the leaders of the NATO countries

The President of the United States Donald trump in the framework of the NATO summit on 12 July convened an emergency meeting of leaders of the countries – members of the Alliance. The correspondent reports about it “Interfax-Ukraine” with reference to the correspondent in Brussels.

The meeting is closed to the media and takes place behind closed doors.

In connection with the negotiations, canceled a press conference by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

According to the Agency dpa, trump demands from the allies to increase defense spending, threatening that the United States out of NATO.

The NATO summit takes place July 11-12 in Brussels. Today with participation of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko was held a meeting of the Alliance at the level of heads of state and government.
