A deadly accident that killed a famous Ukrainian actress Marina Poplavskaya, according to preliminary data, occurred because the bus driver “the Neoplan”, which has not coped with management. About it reported in regional management of national police.

“Today, October 20, at 5:55 on the 28th km of the highway Kyiv-Chop near the village of La Pedrera was a collision of bus “the Neoplan” and the truck. The accident killed a female passenger of the bus. According to preliminary data, the bus driver has not coped with management, resulting in a collision with a truck MAZ”, – stated in the message.

As it became known, and the bus was carrying 14 passengers, four of whom received injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized.

At the scene works investigative team, employees of the Investigation Department of the police of the Kiev region, as well as doctors. The bus driver was detained, the criminal proceedings are opened under article “violation of traffic rules”.

As told “Today” the police of the Kiev region, according to preliminary information, Marina Poplavskaya during the trip was sitting in the front seat and died from the strong impact of the collision.

“The artists were returning from Lviv to Kiev. It is known that the accident injured another three artists and a bus driver. They are hospitalized. At the time of collision, the actress sat in the front seat on the bus. In the accident she died. All the reasons and details of the accident are now being investigated,” – said the head of communications, GU NP in the Kiev region, Nikolai Zhukovich.
