Grudinin became the second candidate who was officially registered by the Central election Commission of Russia

The candidate in presidents of Russia Pavel Grudinin, nominated by the Communist party, January 8, 2018 submitted to the Central election Commission of the Russian Federation documents, which said the lack of accounts in foreign banks. Relevant information available on the CEC website.

CEC member Yevgeny Shevchenko said to Interfax on 12 January that the CEC adopted a completely legal decision, registering Grudinina the candidate on a post of the President of Russia, as he closed their foreign accounts. According to Shevchenko, “at the time of registration Grudinina papers were presented about the absence of his foreign accounts, which was tested by us by directing requests to the appropriate authorities”.

He also said that at the time of nomination of a candidate Grudinin provided information on income, which did not appear his foreign accounts. Shevchenko said that “on January 9 this document has been updated, as permitted by law, and Grudinin provided information about closing these accounts and the absence of foreign securities”.

According to him, there are no claims to Grudinina the CEC at the moment, no, but “if something comes up, the CEC will carefully look into this deal”.

In turn, the Chairman of the Board of deputies of Leninsky municipal district of Moscow region Valery Wenzel told reporters that in 2016, when Grudinin ran in the Moscow regional Duma, he withheld information that he had five foreign Bank accounts.

The head of the press service of the Communist party, Deputy of the state Duma Alexander Yushchenko has informed “Interfax” that these foreign accounts Grudinin opened on 3 January 2017 and closed on December 28.

Grudinin became the second candidate who was officially registered by the Central election Commission of Russia.

29 December 2017, the CEC registered the presidential candidate, the LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky.

He Grudinin said that everything is always the candidates of the Communist party “participated in the elections honest,” and promised to campaign violations.

The Russian presidential election will be held on March 18, the election campaign officially started on 18 December 2017.
