Vovk dismissed the head of the national Commission

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has dismissed Dmitry Vovk from the post of Chairman of the national Commission, carrying out state regulation in spheres of power and utilities (NKREKU). The corresponding decree №148/2018 of may 26, published on the website of the President.
“I decree: to dismiss Vovk Dmitry Vladimirovich from the post of Chairman of the National Commission, carrying out state regulation in the sphere of energy and communal services”, – the document says.
The national Commission consists of seven members. In December 2017, Poroshenko temporarily appointed Victoria Morozov and Vadim Maratona members of the national Commission.
Permanent members consisting of the regulator was only Vovk Ruslan Mashliakivsky. The last Poroshenko dismissed by decree No. 149/2018 from may 26.
The competition Commission is conducting two competitions for the selection of new members. During the first five will be elected during the second two. Wolf, whose term expired may 26, was going to participate in the second, but it was not allowed because, according to the requirements of the law on the national Commission on energy, a member may be someone who has at least five years of experience in energy or utility services, including senior positions at least two years. The Commission came to the conclusion that he has only three years of the required experience. He appealed against non-admission to the competition in court.
