The international taxi service Uber announced new rules of passenger carriage on the background of the pandemic coronavirus. The corresponding statement the company published on Wednesday, may 13.

It is reported that starting next week, taxi drivers who do not wear PPE, will not be able to use the official app aggregator.

The main requirement in relation to the drivers of the service will be mask. Before each trip, the drivers will have to do a selfie with the mask on and send the to the company. In addition, before each trip, they will have to disinfect the hands.

Also, under the new rules, wear a mask will have and passengers of Uber. Their movement will be allowed only in the back of the seat, the window needs to be open for ventilation. The maximum number of seats in cars will be reduced from four to three.

The company States that she has already allocated $ 50 million for the purchase of personal protective equipment such as masks, disinfectant sprays and wipes, sanitiser for hands and gloves for the workers. More than 23 million masks have been given to Uber drivers around the world last week.
