A legendary player will continue his career in Groningen.

The great Dutch winger Arjen Robben returned to the big football. The player signed a contract for one season with his native Groningen, reported on the official website of the club.

The press service of the team informs that tomorrow, June 28, held a press conference where 36-year-old will talk about why he decided to return.

Note that Groningen has opened the way for him in big football. He passed the Academy “green and white Army” and played for them from 2000 to 2002.

Last season they finished ninth and failed to qualify for European cups. The highest achievement of this club – 3rd place in the 1990/91 season as well as winning the Dutch Cup in 2015.

Only Robben played for five clubs: Bayern, real Madrid, Chelsea, PSV and Groningen. He has 96 games and 37 goals for the national team of Holland, where he won silver (2010) and bronze (2014) medal of the world championship.

Together with Bayern Munich Arjen in 2013 he won the Champions League, the UEFA super Cup and club world Cup.

On a professional level he has played 602 games, scoring 210 goals, gave 162 assists and has won 28 trophies.
