Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to inspect the combat readiness of the Central military district. On 24 June the Minister of defence of Russia Sergey Shoigu, the press service of the Agency.
It is noted that the test will take place from 24 to 28 June 35 polygons.
According to him, check the troops will take part in more than 50 exercises of varying scales.
Shoigu stressed that the main objective of the audit was to determine the readiness of the military leadership to command and control “with increasing military threats and crises”.
“Also will be fulfilled the tasks of strengthening of protection of important state and military facilities, air defense, combat terrorist threats, destruction of illegal armed formations and other destructive forces. Special attention is paid to the organization and maintenance of continuous and stable control of troops and forces!” – he explained.
Central military district occupies the territory of three Federal districts and 29 regions of Russia. It consists of the 201st military base in Tajikistan, joint base Kant in Kyrgyzstan, as well as units on the territory of Kazakhstan, reports “Interfax”.
Commenting on the decision of the President of the Russian Federation, chief editor of “Censor.NO” Yury Butusov said in Facebook that “Putin is not going to go into some kind of truce, Russia will seek recognition of Ukraine’s occupation of Crimea and Donbas.
