“Broadband in Ukraine is fast and cheap. But its use is quite low. Only half of the population has Internet access compared with 90% living in the UK,” the study says.
It is reported that the average cost of connection in Ukraine is $6,64 per month (approximately 150 UAH at the current exchange rate of the dollar – ed.). Last year we took first place in the ranking. During this time the price increased by $1,64.
The top five ranking looks like this: Syria – $6,60 per month – the country has risen from seventh place to first; on the second, Ukraine – $6,64 per month; the third – Russia – $7,35 per month; for fourth – Romania – $8,15 a month, on the fifth – Belarus – $9,87 per month.
The most expensive Internet weretree (Africa) – $2666 a month, the Yemen – $2466 per month and Mauritania – $694 per month.
In total the rating includes 206 countries. The study included data from 28 Nov 2019 8 January 2020. The researchers analyzed more than 3000 tariff plans.
