The Kremlin said they did not recognize the new US sanctions against Russia, call them restrictions and will not predict any restrictive measures to expect from the Americans. This was stated press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

He believes that it is more correct to call restrictive measures US not by sanctions, and restrictions.

“It will be for the sanctions – it’s hard to say. If they can lead to further complication of the situation with the Russian-American relations? The answer is simple: sure it is. Sanctions is consistent with international law. In this case, we do not recognize these unilateral restrictions [of the West against Russia] as a lawful sanction, we consider them to be illegal. Therefore, probably, more correct to use the word “limitations” or “restrictions”, rather than sanctions”, – said Peskov.

The speaker of the Kremlin noted that it is difficult to predict what will be the new restrictive measures of the USA against Russia, not putting the unpredictability of America.

“What America has become in recent times unpredictable, too for anybody not a secret, that what they’re saying openly, because this unpredictability in the performance of such a large country, a powerful economy in the world – of course, is a matter of deep concern of all” – said Peskov.

We will remind that on 8 November , the U.S. Treasury Department expanded sanctions against Russia in connection with the annexation of Crimea and aggression in the Donbas. The list of sanctions made the Crimean employee of the Federal security service of the Russian Federation Andrey Sushko, Deputy head of “MGB LNR” Alexander Basov, the former commander of the rocket forces and artillery Vladimir Zaritsky, eight companies from the occupied Crimea and “MGB LNR”.
