Interview with Rodchenkova in a new guise will air on February 11

Former head of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory, Grigory Rodchenkov, will speak on American TV.CBS announced on 11 Feb interview with him.

The previews showed that the former sports official changed his appearance and goes in the vest.

“This was done for security reasons. There is information that my life is under threat, we have taken all the necessary steps,” explained Rodchenkov.

According to him, the Kremlin wants, he “stopped talking”.

Rodchenkova lawyer Jim Walden told that the American law enforcement authorities had warned his client about the threatening danger. In the U.S. he was allegedly “Russian team” which searched for the fugitive.

The former head of the all-Russian athletics Federation Valentin Balakhnichev in reviews propaganda TV channel Russia Today has called the video a fake.

“It is ridiculous to seriously argue that a man appeared in the frame, is Rodchenkov. They could be anyone. It is simply not serious. What meaning was he to do plastic surgery if he appeared in the frame and actually has declassified itself,” he said.

To the German journalist, Hyo Seppelt, who has long collaborated with Rodchenkova, claimed that those involved in the program witness protection.

Rodchenkov after escaping from Russia to the United States in may 2016 admitted in substitution of test results that were taken from Russian athletes during the Olympic winter games in Sochi 2014.

Because of the doping scandal, the national teams of Russia on athletics was removed from the Olympic games in 2016. Also the Russian team at full strength is not allowed to the summer Paralympics.

5 December 2017, the international Olympic Committee because of the systematic anti-doping rule violations barred from participating in the Olympics in 2018, the national Olympic Committee of the Russian Federation.

29 January 2018 in the German TV channel ARD released Rodchenkova interview in which he said only Russian President Vladimir Putin could use the FSB to engage in fraud with doping samples.

30 January meeting with the Trustees of his presidential campaign, Putin called Rodchenkova “jerk” and said that he allegedly committed “suicide attempt”.

“Well, God give him health and let him recover. But that’s saying something,” – said the head of the Kremlin.
