The Minister of energy and coal industry of Ukraine Igor Nasalik has denied the fact of sending letters to the Russian Rosatom, which the Ukrainian side asks to resume cooperation. According to him, this information is “fake”.

At the same time, the Minister acknowledged the existence of another letter, which refers to the desire of Ukraine to discuss implementation of joint projects.
In turn, the “ekonomichna Pravda” notes that the letter could be genuine, and the Minister signed it without looking because of the large number vizireanu securities. The source suggested that this letter could give the Minister specifically to his “substitute”
Meanwhile, Rosatom, said it had not received any letters from Kiev with the request for the resumption of cooperation, reports TASS.
The company added that now Russia provides up to 70 percent of the needs of Ukrainian NPPs in nuclear fuel.
Earlier it was reported that Kiev offered “Rosatom” to resume cooperation in the nuclear industry. It was allegedly asked to return to the project of construction of a plant for the production of nuclear fuel in Kirovohrad region.
