The issue of renaming the Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions stuck due to the fact that not all fractions was determined with the support of relevant draft amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrew Parubiy.
“There’s the organizational part… we have the political part, not all the factions yet made a final decision to support these bills… For me it is extremely important that when these issues will be considered in the hall, we had guaranteed 226 votes. I am convinced that the names nedenominirovannyh areas must be changed. And I’m ready for another week to wait to faction decided, held internal discussions”, – said Parubiy.
The speaker stressed that the renaming of areas is not postponed “indefinitely” – is the search for the necessary 226 votes for the direction of relevant bills to the constitutional court. Parubiy believes that in the coming weeks, such voices will be found.
At the same time, the greatest debate is the renaming of the Dnipropetrovsk region in Sichevskyi.
“A number of deputies believes that the renaming (Dnipropetrovsk – Ed.) region should be in the Dnipro. The bill – in Sichevskyi. And it would be silly if we in the debate between the Dnieper and Sichevskyi not decided completely,” said the speaker.
Meanwhile Parubiy recalled that in Parliament was the draft of the constitutional changes about the renaming of the Dnipropetrovsk region in the Dnieper.
“Because even if we found a compromise under the Dnieper region – there is no such legislative proposals,” he added.
Thus, according to the speaker, regarding the renaming of the Kirovograd region in Kropyvnyts’ke parliamentarians smaller differences of positions.
