In Pechersky district court of Kiev filed two lawsuits former co-owner of “Privat” Igor Kolomoisky to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU). On it informs news Agency FinClub.
Both suits was registered on 3 APR. They relate to protection of honor, dignity and business reputation.
The details of the claim, the Agency does not have.
Kolomoisky has also filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. It requires “to recognize absent the authority of law.”
21 Dec 2016 Fund for guaranteeing deposits of natural persons signed a contract for the sale of 100% of shares of “PrivatBank” to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. On the proposal of the national Bank and shareholders of the “PrivatBank”, the largest of which at that time was businessman Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov, the financial institution was nationalized.
16 January 2018, the NBU has reported on the investigation company Kroll, which found evidence of fraud in “PrivatBank” prior to the nationalization, the government held 18 December 2016. According to the investigation, there are indications that the credit funds of “PrivatBank” was used for the acquisition of assets and business financing in Ukraine and abroad in favor of the former shareholders and groups affiliated with them. These schemes have led to at least $5.5 billion loss.
