The Parliament approved the candidacy of Ruslan Riaboshapka to the position of General Prosecutor of Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada at the plenary meeting on Thursday, August 29, has approved the appointment of Ruslan Ryaboshapka here the head of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. The candidacy of Ryaboshapka gained 312 votes.

We will remind, earlier Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko has declared that will retire after will begin its work, the Parliament of the ninth convocation. 29 Aug Lutsenko wrote a letter of resignation. Rada voted for the resignation of the head of the GPU.

As earlier reported, the Parliament supported the appointment of Ivan Bakanova head of the security Service of Ukraine. In addition, the Parliament voted for the candidature of Andrei Zagorodnuk for the post of defense Minister.

Also on this day the Prime Minister was appointed Alexey Goncharuk. In addition, it formed the new leadership of the Parliament.
