Well-known journalist Sergei Dorenko has died in Moscow after falling from a motorcycle in the city centre. This is reported by Russian media.


According to employees of traffic police, in 18 hours 20 minutes Sergei Dorenko followed on a motorcycle “Triumph” on the garden ring, the inner side, in the 3rd lane. Near the house № 71 on street the Earthen Shaft Dorenko lost control of the motorcycle, made departure on an oncoming lane and collided with a concrete fence. The ambulance crew stated clinical death of the motorcyclist.

“Dorenko went on the motorcycle on the centre of the city, he became ill with heart. He fell from the motorcycle. Passers-by called an ambulance, but the doctors to save him failed,” — said the Agency TASS.

On the death of Dorenko told the radio station “Moscow speaking”, which he headed until his last days.

TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov said RBC the death of Sergei Dorenko. “It’s a huge tragedy, loss. He’s a young man, full of plans and forces,” — said Solovyov and stressed that he and Dorenko had different political views, now it’s “not important”. “He had a lot of fans. I offer my condolences to the family and friends”, he concluded.

Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin expressed his condolences in connection with death of the journalist Sergey Dorenko. His words he posted on Twitter.

“Killed Sergei Dorenko. A talented journalist, restless, caring person. Sergei loved our city. He died as he lived — on a steep bend. Honestly — terribly sorry. Like something lost. Forever”, — he wrote.

The former mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov in comments RBC called Dorenko “genius of evil, who were given the opportunity to communicate with a huge number of people.” “He had no principles, was anger, which was directed in the line if it is paid for, and it’s not limited to violence against Primakov, me,” — said Luzhkov again called the victim of the journalist of “evil” talent.

TV presenter Svetlana Sorokina also reminded of the “information killer” Dorenko “I haven’t talked with Sergei, but we are familiar with the early 90s, since the “News”.
