Denisov asked the Russian side information about the grounds for such hospitalization
Detained in the occupied Crimea the citizen of Ukraine, journalist Nariman Mamadaminov forcibly hospitalized in the Crimean Republican psychiatric hospital No. 1, said Parliament Commissioner for human rights Lyudmila Denisova.
“Received information that the Ukrainian political prisoner Nariman Mamadaminov, which previously was kept in SIZO-1 of Simferopol were forcibly transferred to the Crimean Republican psychiatric hospital №1”, – Denisov wrote on his page on the social network Facebook on Wednesday.
She also said that he had asked the Russian side information about the grounds for such admission. “Sent letters to the Russian presidential adviser Mikhail Fedotov and head of the working office of the Commissioner for human rights in Russia with the request to urgently provide me with information about the grounds for involuntary admission, as well as what actions to him (Mamadaminov – ed.) was applied,” – said Denisov.
As reported, Mamadaminov was detained on 22 March in the village Kholmivka Bakhchisaray district of Crimea. He is charged for alleged extremist statements in a video on YouTube made in 2012-13. 23 March the Kyiv district court of Simferopol made the decision on his arrest.
The Ministry of the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons (Minvu) of Ukraine has declared the illegality of the actions of security forces, detained Mamadaminov, and regarded them as made for the purpose of intimidation of the residents of Crimea who disagree with the annexation of the Peninsula and trying to assert their legitimate rights under occupation.
