Doctors told about the number of cases of measles in the country

As told the Director of one of the closed schools, the first cases appeared in the early grades and there is immediately suspended the educational process, but the infection continued to spread. Then the decision was made to completely stop the school.

The doctors say that in the Carpathian region the vaccine is only for children.

To stop the epidemic in the district decided to stop teaching at the school. Forced vacation will last at least until the end of the week.

According to the Ministry of health of Ukraine, during the last week of measles in the country got 781 people — 217 of 564 adults and a child. This is 10 .5% more than the previous week.

“The greatest increase in the incidence of measles observed just in areas where the coverage of routine immunization smallest (Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Lviv region)”, — specifies the Agency.

Since the beginning of the year the country became ill with measles 937 33 people — 13 adults and 398 20539 child. From complications caused by an infectious disease, had died fourteen people — ten children and four adults.
