From the beginning of 2020, the hryvnia is the second time breaks the psychological threshold of 24 hryvnias per dollar.

The national Bank of Ukraine on Wednesday, 15 January, the hryvnia has weakened by nine kopecks against the dollar and six cents against the Euro. This is evidenced by data on the regulator’s website on Tuesday, January 14.

The NBU set the official exchange rates at:

– $ 100 – 24,0257 hryvnia (+0,0982);

– 100 Euro – 26,6889 hryvnia (+0,0684).

On the first working day of the week the dollar on the interbank market in the sale declined by 10 cents to 24.00 hryvnia to the dollar, the exchange rate in the purchase to 23.97 per dollar. The Euro is down 11 cents to 26.69 hryvnia for one Euro.

We will remind, last week the NBU said it will accelerate the decline in the discount rate.

Also, the NBU has forecasted dynamics of the hryvnia for the year 2020. The regulator allows for moderate fluctuations of the national currency in both directions.
