In Ukraine the dollar from may 30 to June 5, will increase from 26.7 to 27.3 UAH/$, having overcome a psychological mark.

About OBOZREVATEL reported to senior analyst “Alpari” Vadim Iosub. “Next week we expect the dollar will continue its growth, although the pace diminished. The dollar on the interbank market can be traded in a week for about 27.3 per UAH, and the cash dollar in banks can be traded around 27,0/of 27.3 UAH”, – said the expert.

The current growth is largely due to the effect of the end of the month, and, in particular, reimbursement of VAT to exporters. Already, the dollar has returned to levels of the second half of April, but so far it looks like a corrective to the downward for the dollar trend, which is valid from the beginning of the year. Only in the case of growth of dollar on the interbank market above 27,3 can say that the downtrend is broken, and the steady growth of the dollar, the analyst believes.

Why dollar went up:

  • by the end of the month the business has repaid billions of VAT;

  • company by fulfilling the obligations transferred the currency, increasing the demand;

  • banks increased their foreign exchange position;

  • The national Bank for a long time did not go to the market.

Note the last week of may, the dollar has increased markedly against the national currency on all segments of the foreign exchange market is 1.4-2.2 percent. The official rate of 26.30 increased from UAH to UAH 26,68 (+1.4 per cent). Demand/supply of the dollar on the interbank market, according to the company “Ukrdealing”, during the same period increased from of 26.36/26,38 to 26,92/26,95 (+2,1%/+2,2%).

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Ukraine in 2019 the average exchange rate of the dollar is a 29.08 UAH/$, according to a published by the Ministry of economic development and trade of the consensus forecast.

In December, the American currency will be sold already 30,42 UAH/$. So, in 2020, the average rate is 30.9 UAH/ us$ (Dec – 32 UAH/$) 2021-m, the dollar can rise to 31.65 UAH/$ (33,8 UAH/$ at the end of the period).
