The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to pay in December of pensions to those citizens, the date of issuance of money, which coincides with the festive holidays and January 2018. This is stated in the decree №970 dated 13 December, the text of which is posted on the government website.

“To establish that to ensure timely payment of pensions, taking into account holidays and weekends in January 2018 the financing and payment of pensions is made in December 2017, within the funds envisaged by the budget of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in 2017”, – the document says.

Individuals who receive in December pension for two months, will determine the dates established by the Pension Fund in coordination with the Ministry of social policy.

October 3, 2017, the Verkhovna Rada approved in the second reading and the whole government bill No. 6614 “On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine concerning increase of pensions.” The Parliament also voted for the bill No. 6617 on amendments to the Budget code of Ukraine in connection with pensions.

11 October pension reform entered into force.

According to the Ministry of social policy, October 1, pensions are counted for 10.2 million people based on the individual indicators of the earnings and the insurance experience. The average size of payments amounted to 560 UAH.
