Vitrenko intends to seek payment of the multimillion-dollar bonuses

The award is part of wages and must be paid by law, says top Manager of Naftogaz.

Executive Director of Naftogaz Yuriy Vitrenko has filed a lawsuit in the court because of failure to meet obligations under an employment contract – payment of wages. He stated this in a live NTU.

“Since the so-called award is part of the salary according to the Ukrainian legislation. It is spelled out in the employment contract and had to be paid on December 30,” – said Vitrenko.

He recalled about his proposal to divide the money won in a dispute with Gazprom, among all citizens of the country.

“This $3 billion according to the latest decision of the Stockholm arbitration (because before that, we received $2.1 billion that has gone to the state budget and already spent). Plus $7.2 billion is guaranteed payments on the new transit contract. Ie together is $10 billion,” – said Vitrenko.

According to his calculations, if you divide this amount by all citizens, each Ukrainian will receive 6000 UAH or UAH 16,000 for a family.

“And so I say that if some officials want to not execute the laws, to oblige the company to comply with certain laws. And paying salaries is the law. Then we must protect their rights to show everyone that there is rule of law,” – said Vitrenko.

It is known that earlier the Cabinet has sent to the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz letter of recommendation to refrain from paying premiums to the company for victory in a dispute with Gazprom. The meeting of the Supervisory Board will take place this week.

Recall that in 2018 the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz decided to pass on the award to 1% of the amount of winning in arbitration (4.6 billion dollars). Then paid the first portion of the premiums in the amount of $ 20.7 million (UAH 541 million).

The money received 41 employees of the company. In particular, the head of the NJSC Andriy KOBOLEV has received $7.9 million, and commercial Director of the company Yuriy Vitrenko – $6 million
