Kovaliv: we Have 41 factory in “Ukrspirt” and another 41 plant on the way “lost” between the “Ukrspirt” and the old concern

Budget annually loses 8 billion due to the shadow market of alcohol. On this November 1 during a working meeting on development of alcohol industry with the participation of the President of Ukraine in Ternopil, said the Deputy head of the Office of the President Yulia Kovaliv. “Starting from 2016, the financial result of “Ukrspirt” has decreased almost five times. If in 2016 its financial profit was almost 97 billion UAH, now it has slipped to zero. This affects taxes. If in 2016 “Ukrspirt” was paid almost 30 million UAH of income tax, in 2018, the year one penny of tax on the profit of the state alcohol monopoly has not paid in the budget,” she said.

Koval stressed that this situation affects the payment of salaries, and the construction of roads and infrastructure development.

“We have 41 factory in “Ukrspirt” and another 41 plant on the way “lost” between the “Ukrspirt” and the old group. Who controls it and what happens there nobody knows,” she said.

Deputy Minister of economic development, trade and agriculture Taras Vysotsky added that until December 1 to finish the audit “the Data”.

The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky Oct 23, introduced to the Verkhovna Rada the draft law №2300 “On amendments to the law of Ukraine “On state regulation of production and turnover of ethyl alcohol, cognac and fruit, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and fuel” on the liberalization of the activities in the sphere of production and turnover of ethyl alcohol”. The document envisages the deregulation of the alcohol industry.

Appointed 23 October, the acting Director “Ukrspirt” Sergey Bleskun said that the privatization of “Ukrspirt” for it must be worth 6-7 billion UAH. Koval cited a figure of 5 billion.

The previous acting Director “Ukrspirt” Yuri Luchechko said that the company’s equipment is worn out by 75% over the next five years in the modernization of enterprises need to invest about 1.5 billion.

The state enterprise “Ukrspirt” – the largest manufacturer of alcohol in Ukraine. The company provides 41 production site. By 2018 net profit of “Ukrspirt” has amounted to UAH 22 million.
