Yulia Tymoshenko: People expect democracy, but instead get a fake

The Central election Commission of Ukraine provides an opportunity for fraud by ordering the printing of 60 million ballots, said the leader of the party “Batkivshchyna” and presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko during a meeting with editors of Bukovina media, the website of the party.

“I believe that ballots for the first and second rounds have to print separately. There are fears that in this way they provide the opportunity to rig the elections”, – said the politician.

She is convinced that the current President Petro Poroshenko is not sure about his rating and therefore builds a “model of corruption and falsification of the people’s choice”. Tymoshenko also called the power of registration of a large number of candidates to fill in their behalf of the electoral Commission people who are controlled by the President.

The head of Batkivshchyna recalled that, together with other presidential candidates have signed a Memorandum for fair elections and combating fraud, and expects that this will bring together district and County commissions.

“It’s a shame that so after the revolution of dignity is done. When people are counting on democracy, and get instead a fake,” – said Yulia Tymoshenko.

The Central election Commission of Ukraine expects to print 60 million 359 thousand 600 ballots, according to the tender published in the ProZorro.

At the same time on the website of the State voter register indicated that Ukraine was 35 million 560 thousand 427 voters in view of the occupied Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as foreign counties. The information is as of February 28, 2018.

The Central election Commission of Ukraine reported on 15 February that the State register of voters has made almost of 29.9 million people who potentially will be able to vote in the presidential election.

Presidential elections in Ukraine scheduled for 31 March 2019. The election campaign started on 31 December 2018.
