In Ankara on the way of admission to the European community do not expect from Brussels, no undeserved favors

EU membership remains a key foreign policy objectives of Ankara. This at a press conference, said on a visit to Lithuania, Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu.

“There is no doubt that our country will remain a member of NATO and will seek admission to the EU,” he said.

According to the head of the foreign Ministry in Ankara on the way of admission to the European community do not expect from Brussels any undeserved favors.

“We want that Turkey received from the EU that it deserves,” said Cavusoglu.

According to the head of the foreign Ministry, “Turkey expects from the EU a clear signal” on the issue of membership in the Union.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan rejected the proposal on partnership with the EU, insisting on full membership in the unit.

“We want full membership in the EU. We will not accept any other solution. Turkey has done all that is needed to meet the criteria of joining the European Union. However, the accession is a two – way process and the EU must begin to deliver on their promises,” – said Erdogan.
