The world Bank downgraded the Outlook on Ukraine

The world Bank experts forecast a slowdown in GDP growth, if not carried out the necessary reforms.

The world Bank worsened the forecast of growth of gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine in 2018 to 3.3% from 3.5%.

This was said by a leading economist of the world Bank for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Farooq Khan in Kyiv on Thursday, October 4, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, in 2019, the world Bank expects GDP growth at 3.5% of GDP.

We will remind, in April the world Bank confirmed its forecast for Ukraine’s GDP this year at 3.5%. However, it was noted that if not carried out the necessary reforms, in 2018-2019, GDP growth could decline by 2 percentage points the GDP growth forecast for 2019-2020 was maintained at 4%.

In August it was reported that in the second quarter of 2018, the Ukrainian economy has accelerated to 3.6%. Compared to the previous quarter the economy added 0.9 percent . Ukraine’s GDP grows tenth consecutive quarter.
