The attack in Kiev on veteran ATO Dmitry Verbica, in which he received a stab wound in the back, police have classified as hooliganism, the press service of the Metropolitan police.

A criminal case was opened under part 4 of article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. Involved in the crime faces up to seven years of imprisonment.

On Verbicha attacked on the street Konstantinovskaya three boys and two girls who were wearing masks.

“The victim was hospitalized, he was given the necessary assistance. Subsequently talked with him by militiamen”, – noted in police.

The police interviewed witnesses and eyewitnesses, and also examined video from surveillance cameras. Law enforcers are searching for the attackers.

The veteran ATO Dmitry Verbicha attacked on 2 may. He was stabbed in the lower back, squirted in the face with gas and wanted to finish with a hammer. Friends had the ex-fighter first aid and was taken to the hospital.
